Hi bloggers, obviously we are in lockdown so everyone has been doing online work or school. In my literacy group we have been learning about movie genres, and have been making characters that could go into a movie. We have been told that we need to remake a sports scene from a sports movie, that task is set until monday next week, I think that it is going to be really fun! I have horses at home so i can remake a scene from a movie that is horse based like: Walk. Ride. Rodeo. or Kiwi I haven't filmed anything yet but i am planning to to some filming today. I hope you are staying safe and I will see you in my next blog.

Have you ever filmed a movie? or filmed parts of movie?

Table making

Hey bloggers, how has you week gone? For this weeks Wednesdays task we did STEAM (science, technogy, engeniering, arts and math) we had to make a table that could hold at least 1 book, and our first prototype did exactly that, for our second type of table we made it more sturdy and and it held way more books. Here is my reflection on the task we had to do. Slide

I hope you liked my post and hopefully the link worked! have you ever done something like this? Did it work? And what was your out come?
Here is one of the photos when we were making the table, the whole team was folding paper and trying to make the structure strong.
I hope you liked this post if you did make sure you comment and I will see you in my next blog!!!!

Eggpirement

Hey bloggers, this week for the wednesday task we did an expirement with eggs.

We had to protect the egg with paper, string, sello tape, platic bags, and then drop it from the balcony and see if it broke or not. I think that our team did a good job listening and collabrorating, except that at the end I got a bit stressed because some of the people in my group weren't helping me but apart from that it was very fun and we all enjoyed it. Our egg did not survive but....... it didn't have a HUGE crack in it. My teams egg had a hair line frature in our egg.

I hope you liked my presentation and maybe you could try this? Have you ever done something like this? If you have what was your outcome? I hope you have a good week and I wil see you in my next blogpost.

Treaty of waitangi

Hello everyone! For the past 2 weeks my hub has been focusing on te tiriti o waitangi( waitangi day) we have been looking at how the European settlers came to Aoteroa and started to take their resorces and sell them elsewhere. The english settlers came to Nz and claimed lots of things that were not theirs, anyway you will be able to read about all of this in my canva posters below.

Did you learn anything while reading? I learnt a bit while doing all of these tasks like the time line and how the maori had New Zealand for themselves for over five hundred years. How the European settlers came to Nz and quite a bit more! I'm sorry for the pictures being in a weird spot, the app didn't lit me move them around so I had to keep them where they were. Well that is the end of my post and as I always end them; I hope you enjoyed this post and I will "see" you in my next one.

Chocolate box nets

Kia ora eveyone! For this weeks math task we made paper boxes for choclates. This was all from scratch. We had to make some shape nets from paper and then glue or tape them together. The whole maths class was given a package that had either choclate, biscuts or lollies inside. I got an Old gold chocolate, a Dream that i then traded with someone to get a turkish delight, I had a cadbury dariy milk and lastly a crunchie.

I made a package that had a lid that could be remove and put back on the fit was nice. I giftesd it to my dad and brother and they both enjoyerd the chocolates. I forgot to take a picture but my box was made with blue and yellow card paper. have you ever made a paper shape net? If you have what shape was it? My shape was a long rectangle that could fit all four in a row.

I hope you guy have a good rest of you week and weekend. Bye

Sharing my knowledge on the Maori Korowai

Kia Ora! For a couple of weeks nows my class have been doing some task on Maori history. We had a few things that we could choose from like: the tattoos that the Maori people get and the skirts that they wear and some more things to choose from. But I decided to do some research about....Korowai which is the Maori cloak.

We had to find out what materials they used, the design and the use of the maori woven cloak. Here is my slide on the Maori Woven Cloak. :)

The cloak is use as gift of respect and honour. Do you know anything about the maori cloak?
I hope that you have learnt something in this post and that the rest of yor week is good!!
