Chocolate box nets

Kia ora eveyone! For this weeks math task we made paper boxes for choclates. This was all from scratch. We had to make some shape nets from paper and then glue or tape them together. The whole maths class was given a package that had either choclate, biscuts or lollies inside. I got an Old gold chocolate, a Dream that i then traded with someone to get a turkish delight, I had a cadbury dariy milk and lastly a crunchie.

I made a package that had a lid that could be remove and put back on the fit was nice. I giftesd it to my dad and brother and they both enjoyerd the chocolates. I forgot to take a picture but my box was made with blue and yellow card paper. have you ever made a paper shape net? If you have what shape was it? My shape was a long rectangle that could fit all four in a row.

I hope you guy have a good rest of you week and weekend. Bye

Sharing my knowledge on the Maori Korowai

Kia Ora! For a couple of weeks nows my class have been doing some task on Maori history. We had a few things that we could choose from like: the tattoos that the Maori people get and the skirts that they wear and some more things to choose from. But I decided to do some research about....Korowai which is the Maori cloak.

We had to find out what materials they used, the design and the use of the maori woven cloak. Here is my slide on the Maori Woven Cloak. :)

The cloak is use as gift of respect and honour. Do you know anything about the maori cloak?
I hope that you have learnt something in this post and that the rest of yor week is good!!
